Consortium member classes and their rights
R&D member
R&D members can join R&D of MSMA systems and its interrogator. Specification development, R&D, and vendor selection for prototype sensor tags are also done by directors, managers, and R&D members of the consortium. They can hold Proof-of-Concept experiments using the prototype systems. To accomplish researches in the consortium, they are licensed for research achievements and related intellectual properties either free of charge or with RAND license. They can attend any meetings sponsored or co-sponsored by the consortium.
R&D members can become consortium organizers. Organizing committee, which is the highest decision-making body of the consortium composed of director, manager, and a representative of each organizer, makes decisions on consortium management.
Experiment member
Experiment members can hold Proof-of-Concept experiments using the prototype systems. To accomplish researches in the consortium, they are licensed for research achievements and related intellectual properties either free of charge or with RAND license. They can attend any meetings sponsored or co-sponsored by the consortium.
Observer
Observers can attend any meetings sponsored or co-sponsored by the consortium.
